This is a high quality, made in Japan aftermarket needle for the Shure type N95ED. We don't carry the low end version made in Switzerland.

OEM Shure was an elliptical 0.2 x 0.7 tip (high-end elliptical)
Our Japan version is an elliptical 0.3 x 0.7 tip (middle)
The Switzerland version available elsewhere is an elliptical 0.4 x 0.7 tip (low-end elliptical)

"DED" = .2 X .7 Diamond Elliptical tip needle for use at 16, 33 or 45 speeds. NOT for 78 rpm speed.
0.75 - 1.5 grams tracking pressure for genuine Shure N-95ED
1.0 - 2.0 grams tracking pressure for Jico brand copy needle

Used In: SHURE M95ED, M95EDM cartridges
Original needle color is usually: YELLOW
NOTE: Because this needle is designed for use specifically with SHURE cartridges, it can be found in numerous brands of turntables. In some cases the cartridges for this needle may be original equipment supplied with a new turntable, but was also likely to have been selected at time of sale to complete a turntable sold without a cartridge or later as an upgrade to the original cartridge supplied by the turntable manufacturer. This needle should be matched primarily to the SHURE cartridge type not necessarily the turntable.
